Curtin University

About us

We are a student-driven hub whose mission is to provide volunteering and leadership opportunities which both enhance the student experience and benefit the wider community.

It all began with our formation in 1994, to provide service learning opportunities to US study abroad students. We played a key role in getting these international students involved in both university and community life during their time at Curtin.

Since then we have grown significantly and the volunteer opportunities that we offer are developed based on a number of elements including: accessibility, diversity, and mutual benefit for both volunteers and the community. Our programs enrich the student experience and develop graduate capabilities by providing opportunities which enhance classroom learning, develop soft skills and, build networks.

Opportunities include ongoing and one-off activities across Western Australia and span a broad range of interests including:

  • Health
  • Youth
  • Environment
  • Culture and Communication
  • Remote and Indigenous
