Ever wanted to learn to surf? Now here is your chance. Our five week course with expert instructors from Go Surf will help show you the way to be riding the waves in no time. All surfers will be fit out in a warm and toasty full length wetsuits and have gear provided. Surfing for Intermediates


Want to improve your surfing technique to be able to catch even bigger waves? Our five week course with expert instructors from Go Surf and state of the art video footage analysing using Coach's Eye the most effective way to provide meaningful feedback for rapid improvements will have you catching the surf like a pro in no time.  All gear provided and extra options for transport to and from Curtin Stadium to Brighton Beach.

All participants must:
- Be able to catch waves (broken or green waves) unassisted by a surf instructor
- Either surfed by themselves or with a surf school at least once before
- Able to stand on a surfboard

Introduction to Dance


Learn numerous dance styles in this five week course! You will get a taste for styles including contemporary, basic gymnastics, jazz, heels and hip hop, and will look at both the differences within the styles as well as learning a short combination for each class. Kettle bell Strength and Conditioning


Kettle bells are great and challenging way to spice up your workout regime compared to your conventional resistance training equipment. Working with kettle bells provides added benefits such as increasing strength stamina along with improving balance and joint stability! Join us twice a week for our 45 minute sessions with one of our fitness staff who will teach and guide you through the proper technique whilst motivating you to push yourself to the limits.

Iyengar Yoga for Beginners



This class is ideal for those with no yoga experience, or those wanting to consolidate the basics. The course introduces the basic principles and foundation of Iyengar yoga in a structured and safe environment. Basic postures are taught to develop strength, stamina and flexibility and they are suitable for any age group. Students will be introduced to the fundamental poses (asanas) and the use of props. Each class will end with relaxation poses that strength the respiratory and nervous system and help reduce stress levels.
After completion of this course you will be ready to join our ongoing weekly Iyengar classes

This 90 minute class is ideal for those with yoga experience and are ready to practise intermediate level asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques). You will deepen your practise with expert guidance and adjustments characteristic of Iyengar Yoga. Props will be used to help maintain poses correctly. The sequencing of poses will help you increase your energy and focus your mind. The integramtion of body, mind and spirit will lead to better relaxation.

Ongoing Events

Social Tennis



Get your weekend off to the perfect start with some tennis at our fortnightly Social Tennis event; bring your friends and join in the fun. Racquets are available to hire from Curtin Stadium reception.

 

Event Details:
- $2 entry per person, please sign in with our friendly staff member on arrival
- Doubles match-play (variations of mixed/male and female games depending on numbers)
- 5x 24 minute sets of tennis in a social environment (The ability to serve and hold a rally is required)
- There will be snack food and drink provided to all those who attend
