We understand that online study can be exciting, challenging and maybe even a little daunting. Orientation is the best way to find your way around your virtual learning environment, see what support services are available to you, and connect with your classmates online.

Midyear O-Week 2017 - 24 to 28 July 2017

O-Week is the official kick-off to your academic year. Take the time to explore the online resources available and prepare yourself for Week 1.

Get Ready

As you already know, studying online gives you flexibility to fit university around your life. Whether you’re a fully online student, or you’ll be attending some classes on campus, new online students often have lots of questions about how to prepare for university. That’s why we’ve built the Curtin ELearning website just for you, with all the tips, tutorials and info you’ll need to get the right start on your journey at Curtin.

If you’re unsure of things, don’t be afraid to ask for help. We offer loads of support and advice to help you get through your studies, and save you time and hassle. Learn more about support services available to all online students.

Get Connected

Joining the New to Curtin Facebook community is a great way to share your journey with other new to Curtin students. You can post questions, contribute to discussions, share pics and keep up to date with essential tips, tricks and treats throughout the semester.

Mature Age Orientation (live and interactive online session)

Join your peers and staff from the library, academic skills centre and support services in this live and interactive session.
