Eligibility to live on-campus

International students, postgraduates, disabled students and those who have never lived in Perth receive priority at Curtin University’s Bentley campus accommodation. Find out if you’re eligible before applying.

Australian students

Depending on the volume of applications, you may receive higher priority if you are from rural WA or another state in Australia.

Welcome to Perth! Usually 75% of students living on-campus are international students, so you’re not alone.

You may receive higher priority if you have never lived in Perth.

Under 17 years of age

If you are under 17 years of age, you cannot live on-campus.

If you will turn 18 in your first year of study, you can live on-campus, but you must have a locally living guardian to sign as guarantor for your Residential Licence Agreement.

Postgraduate students

We do our best to help you find the most appropriate postgraduate accommodation, such as with other post graduate students, or in rooms where post graduates are given priority. We try and place postgraduate or mature age students together if possible.

Although we have some accommodation for couples, unfortunately we cannot house your family (with children) on-campus but can help you find off-campus accommodation with our extensive off-campus listings and support service.

Mature age students

Heading back to school? There’s no age limit for living on-campus however most residents are in their early 20’s.

If you’re over 30, you may prefer to live independently off-campus with less housemates and rules.
