MBSR - Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an eight week program which will help you to develop more mental, physical and psychological wellbeing and resilience.

Program Overview

Please note: There is a $80 fee for this course.

This course has been shown to help alleviate a wide range of physical and psychological difficulties, increase wellbeing and enhance performance and engagement in work and life. This course was first developed by Professor Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979 at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. It has been widely researched over the past 30 years and is at the cutting edge of integrative and preventative medicine. Please note this course requires a high level of commitment to the daily practice of mindfulness. All audio and reading resources will be provided in session one.

Semester 2 2017 Schedule

Times & Dates:

(Group 1) 4.30pm- 7pm, Mondays, 31st July - 18th September plus one day mindfulness retreat (on 9th September, 2017)

(Group 2- ONLINE) 4.30pm- 7.00pm, Tuesdays, 1st August - 19th September plus one day mindfulness retreat (on 9th September, 2017).

Location: Counselling & Disability Services, Building 109, Level 2.
