External Provider Opportunities

If you're looking for a really unique international experience there are even more options - our global network can take you further.

Third party providers provide a wide variety of programs such as short term courses at an overseas university, internships, volunteer programs and much more! Although the following 3rd party providers are endorsed by Curtin University, they are not managed by Curtin so you need to apply directly to the provider. Program fees apply and you pay these directly to the provider.

How to Apply

To apply for an external provider program follow the process below:

  1. Select the program you want to participate in and submit your application to the provider. Follow the instructions provided by the program provider- some programs will have application deadlines, so check these dates carefully.
  2. Follow the Study Abroad Credit for Recognised Learning (CRL) procedures to ascertain if you will receive credit for your Study Abroad experience. The CRL process will take approximately 20 working days. We recommend that you submit this documentation as early as possible.
Note: The AIM Overseas program requires that you apply for their program before you apply for credit.
  3. If you decide to participate in a program that isn't during a Curtin study/semester break, you may need to apply for a Leave of Absence from Curtin.
  4. Don't forget that when you return from the program, to receive to credit you will need to submit your official transcript and marking key to
