This is THE sports competition of the year to get involved in for uni students all around Australia.

University is about much more than just assignments, classes, and exams. One of the highlights of being a student is having the opportunity to attend a Uni Games competition.

Join students from around the country in these friendly but competitive events and make your university experience a memorable one. Whether you're an athlete, coach, or an-up-and-coming journalist, join the Curtin Carnabys and represent Curtin at the Games!

Western Uni Games

2017 will see Western University Games (WUG) held in Bunbury from 2 July to 5 July. This multi-sports event will run over several days as students from WA's five rival universities compete in a friendly yet competitive environment.

You don't need to be an athlete to join the event. There are a number of ways to get involved - from competing or coaching to filming or trying out your journalism skills!

Australian Uni Games

The Australian Uni Games (AUG) is the largest annual sports event in the southern hemisphere attracting over 7,000 students to compete against 42 rival universities, in 29 different sports.

Get involved in the AUG competition and play against other universities in a friendly environment. Be a part of the action packed social program and meet students from all over the country – it’s all part of the Uni Games experience!

The 2017 Games will be held in the Gold Coast from 24 September to 30 September 2017.      

How to get involved in the Australian Uni Games

Missed out this year? Keen to get involved? Why not register your interest for the 2017 games to be held in the Gold Coast! Students competing in the Western Uni Games will be given first priority for the Australian Uni Games in September. All you need to do is join our Facebook group and you will be kept up to date with everything to do with the Games.

Past Teams

2016 Perth

The University Games was held in Perth for 2016 where Curtin placed 9th overall out of 42 universities. Curtin achieved 2 gold medals, 2 silver and 5 bronze along with 21 individual athletes winning green and gold medals.  

2015 Gold Coast

The Curtin Team placed 26th out of 42 universities over at the Gold Coast. Coming away with one bronze in Judo.

2014 Sydney

The Curtin Team placed 13th out of 41 universities across Australia in this years Sydney Uni Games.  130 students represented Curtin winning gold in the mixed beach volleyball event and men's hockey and two bronze in the men's and women's taekwondo.  

2013 Gold Coast

Team Curtin placed 11th in the 2013 Gold Coast games. 170 students competed across 21 sports, winning 13 medals.
