The Wesley Curtin Amateur Football Club is one of the largest A Grade clubs in the WA Amateur Football League. The club has seven teams in the competition with five senior teams and two junior (Colts). The WAAFL is highly competitive and the strongest league in Perth, outside of the WAFL.

You don't have to be from Curtin or a student to join the club, anyone is welcome.

The training season starts from February to September each year.

The Curtin Saints American Football Club is a community based club with a strong focus on growing the sport of Gridiron. The Curtin Saints have competitions for seniors, under 19's and also a non contact 'Flag' competition. The Curtin Saints like to make sure all their players have a fun and fair game and that everyone participates! 

The club is the largest club in Gridiron West and one of the largest clubs in Australia with over 150 players.

Training times

The Curtin Saints training season runs from February to November.

Curtin Dynamic Flames Badminton Club was founded in 1985 and is well established with over 300 members playing at a range of centres across Perth.

The club encourages players of all skill level and provides free badminton coaching services by nationally qualified badminton coaches.

Training times

The Badminton Club's training season runs from March to November with weekly training sessions.

Membership price

To come down and have a hit, the cost is $8 for members and $10 for non-members. All playing equipment is supplied.

The Swordfish Fencing Club is dedicated to teaching the principles of Olympic fencing and developing the proper techniques. The club welcomes junior and senior fencers with beginner courses available if you are new to the sport.    

Training times

The Curtin Trinity Pirates Hockey Club was formed in 1998 through the merging of the Curtin Trinity Tigers and the Pirates Hockey Club and are still going strong today.

The club welcomes men and female players of all levels from junior's to senior players.

Practising karate is an excellent opportunity to take part in a cultural activity, and to study an ancient art, while obtaining valuable skills in self-defence. It gives you the chance to take your mind off things, while engaging in a completely different activity.

The Curtin University Karate Club practises Shito-Ryu. The club teaches a traditional style of karate whilst placing an emphasis on all other aspects of karate including fitness, self defence techniques, traditional weapons, oriental intrinsic and metaphysical training and learning martial strategies.

The Curtin Karate Club training season is from February to December each year (excluding public holidays and Christmas break).

The Kendo Club started in 2001 and aims to challenge it's members to constantly improve their skills through training and correct instruction.

If you have never played before, the Kendo Club runs beginners courses all year round!

The Curtin Women's Netball Club provides an environment to play competitive netball in a social and friendly atmostphere. The Club is available for Curtin students and Alumni to join.

Games are held Saturday afternoon's at Mathew's Netball Centre in Wembley throughout the season.

The Curtin University Boat Club has been running since 1969 and is a social rowing club with a number of competitive events held throughout the year

CUBC is a club whose members love, practice and promote rowing. Members train socially and and compete in regattas against other uni's and rowing clubs.

The Club encourages anyone to join regardless of age, fitness level or ability. Rowing is a great sport and there's nothing quite like being out on the water watching the sunrise!

Training times

The Curtin University Boat Club trains from April to September. Training sessions run seven days a week from 5.00 am to 7.30 pm. Refer to the club website for all training times.

The Curtin Uni Rugby Union Club has been running for over 45 years. It is one of the longest running Curtin sports Clubs!

The Club prides itself on its friendly and social atmosphere and encourages players of all levels and abilities from the novice to the intermediate to join.

 

The Rubgy Club is open to anyone, so you don't have to be a student or Alumni to get involved.

The essence of Shorinji Kempo practice is the development of a healthy mind, healthy body, and self defecse. Shorinji does not rely on strength, it is a practical form of self defence. The Curtin Shorinji Kempo Club concentrates on mutual respect and understanding through cooperative training.

The club is run by Chief Instructor Craig Foley who has over 18 years of extensive training in Shorinji Kempo in Australia and in New Zealand.

Curtin Ultimate Frisbee

The Curtin Ultimate runs mixed and open teams for Curtin students and Alumni.

Theres usually around 11 games per season.

Never played ultimate frisbee before? Not a problem! All ability levels are welcome to come down and play. This game is a whole lot of fun, so come down and attend a training session!
