Personal Branding & Digital Footprint

Employers use online and social media as both recruitment and assessment tools. Managing your personal brand and digital footprint is now part of the job application process.

With more than 90% of hiring managers now using social media to screen candidates (How Recruiters Use Social Networks to Screen Candidates, 2011), having a professional online presence is essential to your career and job search success.

Whether it is Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest or any of the other social media sites, you need to start thinking about how you project yourself to the world and the reputation you leave from your digital footprint.

Utilising free online tools like LinkedIn, you can build an online profile, which showcases your professional strengths and capabilities.
