Finished your degree - what next?

Recent federal government forecasts that 30% of university graduates will not have secured full time employment within four months of completing their degree. Enhance your prospects of becoming one of the successful 70% of students by attending this 4 hour workshop.

Topics will include

  • Writing impressive resume and cover letters (Feel free to bring your resume and cover letter, along with any job advertisements and job descriptions so that you can tailor your documents to these specific roles)
  • Successful job search strategies
  • Addressing selection criteria and interview skills
  • Networking Know-How

This workshop runs for 4 hours, 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

  • How to promote your skills and experiences

The aim of this workshop is to provide you with techniques and resources on how and where to find industry experiences.

The aim of this workshop is to provide you with techniques and resources on how and where to find industry experiences.

This workshop develops a lot of the materials covered in 'Stop Googling, Start Networking', which you can do online through the Challenge Platform, or face to face at a Careers & Employment Centre workshop bookable through CareerHub.

You will uncover:

  • What type of job seeker you are
  • How to identify hidden opportunities
  • Successful networking secrets

By the end of this workshop you will have the resources to start looking for, and finding, industry experience opportunities.

  • Explore the types of information you need to collect to make an informed decisions
  • Discover the tools and strategies you can use to help you make an informed decision.
  • Create and implement action plans to confidently enact your decision.
  • Effectively review and explore new options as you progress over time.
