Get yourself into gear for Mental Health Week's 2015 Theme - Act, Belong, Commit! Being active, and having a sense of belonging and purpose in life all contribute to happiness and good mental health.

Monday 5 October

Start the week by boosting your body, heart and mind.

FreePlay free court hire

9 am to 11 am FreePlay - grab your joggers for our free badminton court hire just for Curtin students. Only at Curtin Stadium. No need to book - just come down and play!
10 am to 2 pm ReachOut - catch up with the team from ReachOut.com and learn about their online resources and latest apps to keep you happy and healthy! They'll be at the Mental Health Week hub at Henderson Court.
12 pm to 1 pm Join Olman Walley for a traditional Indigenous Welcome to Country and didgeridoo performance.

Tuesday 6 October

Two words - mechanical surfboard!

7 am to 8 am FreeFit Yoga - wake up and start your day with our free yoga, just for Curtin students. Wear your comfy clothes and come down to Curtin Stadium on campus. Bring your yoga mat if you have one.
8 am to 9 am Tai Chi - find your Zen with our free Tai Chi outside at the Forum.
9 am to 11 am FreePlay Basketball - hit the courts and get your head in the game. Free basketball court hire for Curtin students at Curtin Stadium. No need to book - just come down and play!
10 am to 2 pm Headspace - check in with the team from Headspace for tips on improving your mental and physical health, work and study support, and alcohol and other drug services. They'll be in the Mental Health Week Hub at Henderson Court.
11 am to 2 pm Surf's up! Jump onto the mechanical surfboard and show us your moves! You can also meet the team from OneWave, a surf community raising awareness for mental health - all at our Henderson Court hub.
12 pm to 1.30 pm Curtin music month finishes up with Baby Mammoth & King's Justice - on the Tav stage.

Wednesday 7 October

Sing your heart out with the infamous Giant Singalong, or fill up with some treats from the Park'd Food Markets.

9 am to 11 am FreePlay Futsal - free futsal court hire for Curtin students. No need to book - just come down to Curtin Stadium and play!
10 am to 2 pm Curtin Stadium will be at the Mental Health Week hub at Henderson Court to show you how you can look after your physical self. Come find out about their free weekly services for students.
10 am to 4 pm What makes you happy? Come relax in Curtin's Happiness Zone located in the Sculpture Garden between Buildings 402 and 407. Decorate the garden with your positive thoughts and messages, while bringing out your inner child with Tickle Me Elmo’s, remote control cars and more.
11 am to 2 pm Join the teams from Headspace and Centrecare on the Kalgoorlie Campus and make your own stress ball, join the egg and spoon race and so much more! Get all of the details.
11 am to 2 pm Leave your lunch at home and grab a midday treat at the Park'd Food Markets at Lower Henderson.
11 am to 2 pm For the lovers of art and craft - get your creative on with our Bat Buddies Workshop at the Park'd Food Markets!
11 am to 2 pm It's Giant Singalong time again! Join Curtin's biggest karaoke event and sing your worries away. Under the Pines at Henderson.
12 pm to 1.00 pm The Off Switch info session for staff. Get tips and tricks on maintaining balance between your personal and working lives. Come down to Building 400, Room 222.

Thursday 8 October

A storm is brewing - of the painting type!

7 am to 8 am FreeFit Yoga - wake up and start your day with round 2 of our free yoga for the week, just for Curtin students. Wear your comfy clothes and come down to Curtin Stadium on campus. Bring your yoga mat if you have one.

10 am to 2 pm Come meet the team from Counselling & Disability Services and learn how you could be more mindful. Also check out the next dates for meditation. They'll be at the Mental Health Week hub at Henderson Court.

12 pm to 2 pm Paint Storm is back! Check out this combo of art and gymnastics at the Pines. Performances at 1 pm or 2 pm.

Friday 9 October

Wind it down and ease your way into the weekend.

9 am to 10 am Online Mindfulness Meditation - tune in to our live meditation session wherever you are in the world. Join us online for this brand new session.
9 am to 11 am FreePlay Badminton - grab your joggers for our second free badminton court hire session, just for Curtin students. Only at Curtin Stadium. No need to book - just come down and play!
10 am to 2 pm Join Curtin Health Promotion students to see how you can improve your mental health and wellbeing - they'll be out at Henderson Court.
12 pm to 2 pm Time to chill out for a Friday afternoon movie - come watch the thought-provoking movie The Connection in Building 200A, Room 220, Bankwest Lecture Theatre.
12.30 pm to 1.30 pm Yoga at the Forum - the ultimate Friday chillout. Join in at The Forum near Aroma Cafe.
