The Indigenous Nationals is an annual multisport competition, in which indigenous tertiary students get the opportunity to represent their university in fierce, yet friendly competition against other universities from around the country.

Team Curtin were able to secure a best ever finish of 8th place out of 27 overall, with top 5 finishes in 3 of the 4 sports (Basketball, Netball and Indoor Volleyball).

A special mention also goes to first year student Peter Stevens, crowned Men's MVP in the mixed netball competition.

2019 sees the Indigenous Nationals take place here in Perth, where the Deadly Kardas will hope to build on their successful 2018 campaign.
