Exercise Right Week 21-27 May

[Posted: 16 May 2018]

If there was a pill that improved your sleep, bone mineral density, insulin sensitivity, mental health and fertility- would you take it? What if that same pill also delayed Alzheimer’s as well as the aging process and reduced your risk of breast and bowel cancer? It sounds like quite the wonder drug doesn’t it? You many know that this wonder drug already exists, it’s commonly used name is Exercise.

Exercise Right Week is Exercise & Sports Science Australia’s fifth consecutive annual campaign and will run May 21-27.

The aim of the campaign is to educate and highlight the importance of exercise to all Australians. The evidence is clear, we cannot underestimate the role that physical activity can play in managing health outcomes, particularly those living with chronic conditions.

Another key aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of tertiary qualified exercise professionals, namely Accredited Exercise Physiologists, Accredited Exercise Scientists and Accredited Sports Scientists. At the end of the day everyone has an opinion about exercise so it is best to trust the experts and the AEP's at the Curtin Stadium Health & Rehabilitation Clinic.
