8 Week SpringFit challenge winner announced!

[Posted: 8 Dec 2016]

Well done Sandra

This Spring, Curtin Stadium posed a fitness personal training challenge open to everyone to achieve a goal agreed with their trainer in just 8 weeks.

The personal trainers at Curtin Stadium put all of the challenge participants to work and Sandra smashed her goal and took home the Fitbit watch prize.

See what Sandra and her trainer Winnie had to say about the experience:

Sandra Pritchard
Thank you to Curtin Stadium for the wonderful prize from the Spring Fit Challenge.  I was a very surprised and grateful winner of the amazing Fitbit watch.
I only achieved the improvement over the period with the patient support and guidance from my personal trainer, Winnie Pong.  When Winnie suggested the challenge and outlined what she had in mind, I agreed to participate, but really didn’t think I would have any chance of succeeding.  However, with the training regime she designed for me and her encouragement I surprisingly met the goal.
Thank you again to Curtin stadium for the prize and also sincere thanks to Winnie Pong.  She’s a really great trainer and pushes me to achieve things I would not have thought possible.

Sandra started training again in August, after a 9 month break. She wasn’t feeling too confident with doing a bench press, but was encouraged to join the 8 week challenge and make bench pressing her goal to achieve. When Sandra started the challenge, she could bench press 20kg total Over the 8 weeks, Sandra made some amazing improvements and successfully achieved her target of bench pressing 45kg. Sandra always paid particular attention to her lifting technique, which helped her achieve such an impressive goal. I’m very proud of how far she has come over the 8 weeks and I hope she continues to challenge herself in all fitness areas and continue to make improvements.
