International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia Morning Tea

[Posted: 12 May 2017]

May 17 is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia, established in 2004, to draw attention to the violence and discrimination that the LGBTIQ communities are facing around the world.

Curtin Stadium welcomes the Curtin community, staff, friends, and families to join us at the Stadium café where will be hosting an informal morning tea at 10am Wednesday 17 May.

We are delighted to have guest speaker Bella Broadway, Principal Consultant from Connection and Wellbeing Australia (CAWA) attend to commemorate IDAHOBIT. Bella will give a brief history of the day, discuss ways to celebrate our community resilience and give some practical ways that both LGBTIQ+ people and their allies can mark the day.

Curtin Stadium is proud to support the LGBTIQ community and be a part of IDAHOBIT day.
