David Aldous Student of the Year Award

Congratulations to Curtin student Isaac Middle on receiving the David Aldous Student of the Year Award at the prestigious Parks and Leisure Awards of Excellence in Adelaide earlier this week.

The PLA Awards of Excellence recognises outstanding industry achievements in design, innovation and research as well as defining the future of the industry by discovering and awarding talent through the ‘Emerging Leader of the Year Award’ and the ‘David Aldous Student of the Year Award’.

Isaac’s doctoral studies and teaching in urban and regional planning at Curtin University are driving the importance of parks and leisure research into professional courses and into the awareness of future practitioners whose decisions will have a fundamental impact on the future quality and impact of parks in our society.

This year’s award ceremony was held at the iconic Adelaide Oval and hosted by Stephanie Brantz, one of Australia's most popular sports presenters.
